TEATRO A CORTE 2016: TWO WEEKENDS OF THEATER, DANCE AND CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS
in the most beautiful Royal Mansions of Piedmont looking for new talented artists
The sixeenth edition of the international Teatro a Corte Festival, directed by Beppe Navello, is taking place from the 7th to the 17th of July in Turin and in the Royal Mansions of Agliè, Racconigi, Rivoli, Stupinigi e Venaria Reale, presenting 19 international companies from 5 European countries, Italy, Spain, France, Spain, Austria, the UK, and from Israel. Teatro a Corte explores the contemporary European scene through a plurality of languages, from dance to contemporary circus, from figure theatre to video performance, from installation to firework performances and nouvelle magie. A two-weekends full immersion in the performing arts, presented at the Teatro Astra of Turin and in the Savoy Mansions, which become the stage to some curious and impressing site-specific performances, which will remain well impressed in the audience’s memory. Six new venues have been added this year to the program: Palazzo Madama, Parco la Tesoriera, Polo del ‘900, Palazzo Lascaris, the gardens of the Palazzina di Caccia in Stupinigi and Villa Il Meleto in Agliè.
Il festival Teatro a Corte e la Fondazione TPE che ospitano in questi giorni ben otto spettacoli francesi oltre che un gruppo di giornalisti e operatori della stessa nazionalità, esprimono la loro fraterna solidarietà per il tragico attentato di Nizza alla nazione francese e agli amici d’Oltralpe che sono tra noi.
Prima degli spettacoli abbiamo chiesto al pubblico un minuto di silenzio riaffermando l’importanza di momenti di incontro culturale e di dialogo internazionale come quelli offerti da un festival di spettacolo dal vivo: la migliore risposta alla cultura della morte e della violenza.
Le festival Teatro a Corte et la Fondation TPE accueillent depuis quelques jours huit compagnies françaises ainsi que des journalistes et des professionnels venant de France; suite au terrible attentat de Nice, nous exprimons toute notre solidarité et fraternité à la nation française et à nos amis présents parmi nous.
Avant les spectacles, nous avons respecté une minute de silence. Les moments de rencontres culturelles et de dialogue international que nous offre le festival avec le spectacle vivant est la meilleure réponse a cette culture de la mort e de la violence.
