The Étoile is a structure of metal tubes and steel ropes, similar to a sculpture, on which the Colporteurs created works of great intensity, such as those featuring in the programme at Stupinigi: Evohé, an interpretation of the myth of Theseus and Ariadne, and The chas du violon, a story of the bond linking a mother and her daughter. Two emotional shows that chase one another through the regular poetic movements of a dance. In one of them, we find Ariadne abandoned on the Naxos Island while desperately looking for traces of Theseus and stumbling instead across Bacchus. In the other one, we hear the dialogue between a mother and her daughter, two human beings united by love, a feeling that overcomes tensions and contradictions. Les Colporteurs, who were guests at the Teatro a Corte Festival in the previous editions with their show called Tarina and Hautes Pointures, are back now at the Festival with another double show of great technical ability and emotional intimacy.
LES COLPORTEURS
Founded by Agathe and Antoine in 1996, this company began to collaborate with the Nouveau Nez group in 2000, creating La Cascade, a national centre for contemporary circus, while in 2002 it collaborated with Giorgio Barberio Corsetti for his shows La Metamorfosi and Animali, Uomini e Dei and then for the direction of an opera.
