La Partida is one of the most original works of the Catalan choreographer True Cendoya and involves five dancers and five football players but also the audience (prepared during a few test days) which will take an active part in the show by cheering and singing songs of encouragement to the teams. The game takes place on a field, outdoors, in a strange mixture that combines the rules of football to dancing, looking for similarities between the two disciplines. Humour, fun and irony play important roles creating lively opportunities for discussion between distant worlds that are often in conflict. Why do masses let themselves be fascinated by football? VERO CENDOYA
Veronica Cendoya is a Catalan talented dancer and choreographer, born in 1976, who trained at the Department of Contemporary Dance of the Institute of Theatre of Barcelona, completing her training in America. As a performer, she collaborated with numerous choreographers, from Inbal Pinto to Diego Cortes, from Angels Margarit to Sol Pico. As a choreographer, she founded in 2008 the True Cendoya company, combining dance and other art forms such as film, experimental music, transformism and painting.
