In Japanese, the term Hakanaï means fragile, insubstantial, fleeting: there is no best adjective to describe the performances of Adrien M / Claire B Company, which moves on the light and evanescent border that exists between technological dream and physical reality. A dialogue takes shape between a dancer and the virtual set that surrounds her with light, a dialogue that crosses contemporary circus, dance, contemporary art and technology: a series of images projected onto a square of white tulle, drawing a dreamlike and virtual panorama, react to every single movement of the performer as animated by his will. Metamorphosis, abstract shapes, landscape shreds, surfaces and bodies intertwine to create a dance that transforms the space: a dreamy and abstract dimension that brings us back to the desire, totally human, to dominate the environment around us.

COMPAGNIE ADRIEN M & CLAIRE B
Adrien Mondot is a multidisciplinary artist, a computer programmer and juggler; Claire Bardainne is a set designer, graphic designer and visual artist. They founded together in 2004 the Adrien M / Claire B Company focusing their artistic research on digital art and performance. They realize installations, workshops, stage and cabaret performances combining reality and virtual elements. Placing the human body at the centre of their artistic and technological research, they create a timeless poetry through a visual language based on game and fun.
