A stroll through the spectacular rooms and bright galleries of the Reggia di Venaria led by an exceptional interpreter: Ambra Senatore is back to Teatro a Corte to present an exclusive site-specific creation, conceived working on the spaces and on some of the works exhibited in this Savoy Residence. The performance will also take place later in September at the Chateau de Chambord in the Loire, where Ambra will reinvent her choreography according to the visionary architecture of that building, that has been twinned with Venaria one year ago.
Accompanied by three performers, Ambra plays with the baroque vestiges, decomposing and recomposing everyday scenes, suggesting a reflection on human beings, their weaknesses and desires. She uses a register that is surreal and concrete at the same time, funny and tragic, and that becomes a perfect magnifying glass on reality for our careless eyes.
AMBRA SENATORE
She is a choreographer and performer working in Italy and France who for several times has been the protagonist of the Teatro a Corte Festival: Ambra Senatore creates performances in which she blends dynamic dance movements with theatrical elements, combining realism and habitual gestures. In her work, often full of irony, the evocation of reality accompanies the explicit declaration of theatre fiction, with a questioning approach to the nature of performing art. Since January 2016, she directs the Centre National Choréographique Nantes – CCNN.
