SITE-SPECIFIC DANCE AT THE AGLIE’ CASTLE

RE-aL dances is a site-specific project developed specifically for the Aglié Castle by an unusual trio of choreographers and dancers: Inés Boza, Roser Lopez Espinoza and Andrea Costanzo Martini, an artist already appreciated last year in a creation for the Palazzina di Caccia in Stupinigi. The artists are totally free to lead the spectator on a guided tour of the castle that reserves interesting surprises, from the ballroom to the theatre. Each creator uses his own style, creating microcosms to be explored in an intimate and knowing relationship with the spectator.

INÉS BOZA
As a child, Inés danced everywhere, on the streets of her country and at folk festivals. Her mother, however, decided to let her study music theory, guitar and painting: anything but dance. She enrolled in the Law Faculty, she studied French literature and at 16 she went to her first dance classes, and then moved to Granada and started her own career. She trained in Paris, Pamplona, Essen, Paris, Cairo and Barcelona, influenced by the encounter with the dancers of the Pina Bausch company. She lives in Barcelona now, where she created and is at the head of the stage project called I. Boza / Timeless, an international excellence.

ROSER LÓPEZ ESPINOSA
Roser López Espinosa, a Catalan dancer and choreographer, graduated in 2005 at the MTD – Theaterschool in Amsterdam. She was hosted by the most important European festivals and she also presented her works in Egypt, Argentina, Chile, Panama, Canada and Japan, achieving international recognition.
